Why did you decide the Little Theatre was the right venue for you?

Sam and I had been there on numerous occasions whilst dating and loved it. When we found out the Little did weddings it was a no brainer - we knew it was the place for us!

Did you show any films as part of your ceremony, tell us why you decided to show this film?  Or did you make any films as a couple?  Who was involved in creating the films?

Sam is a big fan of the Office (US) and came up with the idea of playing the wedding episode - very apt, and very funny!

Did any of your friends or family perform or share anything as part of your wedding?  Who would you like to particularly thank for making the day extra special?

Sam's Best Man Sam (not confusing at all), and my Maid of Honour Stacey. Also a big thank you to my Dad who helped me go up the stairs as gracefully as possible! The registrars were also wonderful.

Any other things you’d like to mention?

We found Sylvia and the team at the Little absolutely fantastic. Communication coming up to the day was great and all the staff on the day were fabulous - they really added to our day and made ourselves and our guests feel welcome and looked after. We also loved being able to use the poster space outside and the other little touches the staff did for us - clapper boards, making drinks, the decorations.

HOW and WHEN did you meet?

We met whilst at University in 2013 and started dating in 2014. Abbie proposed in February 2020 a Leap Year!

What inspired your wedding DEcor? Did you have a theme in mind?

There was no specific theme as such - Abbie knew she wanted lots of flowers!! We also wanted everything to tie in with the retro cinema vibe the Little provided.

Which part of your wedding did you want to WOW your guests?

Our guests were really wowed by the Little in general. Lots of people have said they found it a beautiful and unique location. They also enjoyed having something to watch whilst waiting, and felt the wedding was very personal to us as a couple!!

How long did you spend looking for the right venue?

No time at all - we had been to The Little previously and knew it was the place for us.

What were the main things you considered when you chose your wedding and reception venues?

We wanted somewhere unique where we were able to be ourselves.

How did you decide who would do what as a couple?  Did you both agree on most things?

I did the majority (and Sam won't mind me saying that ha-ha!), but Sam's tasks were all around the music and choosing the band!

Did you have a professional photographer for your wedding?  Who did you have?

Yes, we had the lovely Alex who you know! It was really important to have someone who had photographed at The Little before as we felt it was a unique setting!

What did you have for food and drink at your wedding?  How did you arrange this?

We wanted the food and drink to be quite relaxed so opted for pie and mash from Pieminister and our evening venue (Komedia) had a bar so guests could choose their own. We provided free drink vouchers as favours which worked well - I think most people kept them as mementos rather than use them!! For toasting we both agreed we didn't want champagne as we aren't fans, so went for pre made drinks in The Little - where the staff were amazing and made them up for us!
