Why did you decide the Little Theatre was the right venue for you?
Every other place we looked at was boring, boring, boring or decorated in heavy Georgian pink. The Little is a Bath landmark and we figured it would be fun; even if my Grandmother might vaguely disapprove.
How did you decide on the music for your ceremony?
In complete secrecy, so it would be a surprise for Mrs. H. The process was to pick anything that had personal significance to us. But in reality, I could have chosen the Vengaboys 5 times as she was a little too busy during proceedings to notice. She did notice the song she walked into which was the Detectorists theme which we both smile at every time it comes up on Spotify.
Did you show any films as part of your ceremony, tell us why you decided to show this film? Or did you make any films as a couple? Who was involved in creating the films?
No, but we did project a family crest of arms I had designed for the day. It features Mrs. H's ubiquitous bobbly hat, some Cider because we live in Zummerzet, my old regimental beret, and our Golden Retriever Noodle, twice.
Did any of your friends or family perform or share anything as part of your wedding? Who would you like to particularly thank for making the day extra special?
We had originally planned to get married in church. My best friend, a vicar, was going to marry us. Instead of that, he gave one of the readings; the lyrics to the well known philosophical tome, "I want to grow old with you" from the film, "The Wedding Singer". The team at the Little were excellent; they made the day run very smoothly, which was exactly what we were after.
